Shelton, WA — Subaru Motorsports USA heads to Shelton, Washington for the 40th anniversary Kubota Olympus Rally, the third round of the 2026 American Rally Association (ARA) National Championship, April 17–19. Championship leaders Travis Pastrana and co-driver Rhianon Gelsomino will campaign the Subaru WRX ARA25L as they look to build on their strong start to the season.

Carrying momentum from their victory at the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, the team now turns to one of the most demanding events on the ARA calendar. Olympus features more than 200 stage miles and 1,250 feet of elevation change across 18 stages and three days of competition on the tight, technical roads of Washington’s forests.

Extreme sports legend Pastrana describes Olympus as “an extremely technical and fun rally. It feels like a British Championship rally, with fog and rain likely.”

“This event always has some of the trickiest conditions in the USA,” Gelsomino added. “You never quite know what weather you’ll get. It’s the type of rally that tests everything, technical sections, fast sections, a huge mix of conditions.”

Adding to the challenge, the Limited 4-Wheel Drive ARA25L will compete against a record field of 10 Rally2 entries — the championship’s top class — including WRC veteran Jari-Matti Latvala, ex-Subaru champion and friend of the team Brandon Semenuk, and five-time Mexican national champion Ricardo Cordero.

“Latvala coming over, along with the return of some top drivers, should make this rally extremely entertaining, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it plays out,” Pastrana said.

“Travis and I go into this one leading the championship, but rallies like this don’t give you anything easy,” Gelsomino said.

The 2026 Olympus Rally marks the longest event of the ARA season, with a full three days of competition ahead. Fans can follow Subaru Motorsports USA throughout Olympus, April 17–19, on Facebook, on Instagram @subarumotorsportsusa, and on TikTok @subarumotorsportsusa.
