Meet the
Subaru Family

  • An extra set of eyes on the road and if need be, an extra foot on the brake when you drive.

EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology is the culmination of everything Subaru engineers know about safety, and Subaru has sold more than 1 million EyeSight-equipped vehicles. Adding confidence to every trip, EyeSight tracks traffic movement, optimizes cruise control, and warns you if you sway outside your lane.

Every Subaru features dual-color cameras, discreetly mounted near the rearview mirror, that continuously scan the road ahead for potential hazards. On select models, a third camera expands the field of view to further enhance pedestrian and cyclist detection.

Learn more about Subaru EyeSight features in the videos below.

  • When cruise control is engaged, EyeSight® Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering can automatically maintain a set distance from the vehicle ahead while helping keep your vehicle centered in its lane.

  • EyeSight monitors lane markings, and if you begin to drift toward the edge, the system can alert you and even intervene, steering you safely back into your lane.

  • EyeSight is always scanning the road ahead to help you stay safe. If EyeSight spots potential danger, it can alert you and if needed, automatically apply the brakes to help avoid an accident.

  • When Pre-Collision Braking alone isn’t enough to prevent an accident, EyeSight can engage Automatic Emergency Steering to help maneuver you safely around the obstruction in your path.

  • If EyeSight detects potential danger in your path, it can reduce power to the engine, giving you more time to respond and slow down in a low-speed emergency situation.

For greater reassurance and peace of mind, Subaru offers a suite of active safety systems that help provide better all-around awareness.

Learn more about Subaru safety features in the videos below.

  • When you’re in reverse, EyeSight can detect vehicles, pedestrians, or cyclists approaching from the side — even if your view is blocked. If you continue to back up, your Subaru can then alert you both audibly and visually, letting you know which side the object is approaching from.

  • For better visibility, Steering Responsive Headlights point in the direction you’re turning, helping you to see things sooner. High Beam Assist can automatically dim and activate your high beams to protect other drivers from the glare while maintaining maximum visibility.

  • If your attention begins to stray from the road ahead or you start showing signs of drowsiness, Subaru DriverFocus can give you a gentle reminder to help bring your focus back to the road or let you know it’s time for a break.

  • When you’re in reverse, Reverse Automatic Braking uses sonar sensors to detect objects or vehicles behind you. As you get closer to an object, your Subaru will alert you, and if you don’t apply the brakes, the system can even intervene to help avoid a collision.

  • For added reassurance when changing lanes, Blind-Spot Detection can alert you if there’s a vehicle hidden in your blind spot. When you signal to change lanes, the Lane Change Assist feature can provide an enhanced alert if there’s a vehicle approaching at a higher speed in the neighboring lane.
