Welcome to Subaru Motorsports USA

Subaru Motorsports USA is the U.S. competition arm of Subaru, with the mission of testing and proving the capabilities of Subaru vehicles in stage rally, rallycross, record attempts, hillclimbs and more. Since its inception in 2001 as Subaru Rally Team USA, the team has won more than 100 rally and rallycross events, 14 of the last 16 U.S. national rally championships, and team championships in rallycross in 2019 and 2021.

Subaru Tecnica International is the global motorsports and performance division of Subaru. Since 1988, STI has studied and applied motorsports and vehicle development engineering to upgrade and refine Subaru vehicles – both for professional racing and for thrilling performance on your favorite back road or tricky corner.

Meet the Rallycross Drivers

Subaru Motorsports USA returns to rallycross competition for 2021 with a lineup built to challenge for the title. Five-time U.S. stage rally champion and Nitro Rallycross mastermind Travis Pastrana joins returning four-time U.S. rallycross champion Scott Speed.

Meet the Rally Drivers

The dominant Subaru Motorsports USA stage rally program returns to the American Rally Association championship for 2021 with a two-car lineup of proven rally winners. Travis Pastrana returns to the #199 car in search of his sixth rally title alongside teammate Brandon Semenuk in the #180 WRX STI.

STI® stands for "Subaru Tecnica International", the performance and motorsport subsidiary of Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. STI® was founded in April 1988 with the aim of using the motorsport arena to promote Subaru products in markets around the world. STI® works directly with Subaru Motorsports USA on engineering, parts development and driver development.


Motul is a world-class French company specialized in the formulation, production and distribution of high-tech engine lubricants. Present in more than 120 countries, Motul USA was established in 1989 as a subsidiary of Motul France and is based in Southern California. Motul is recognized as the global specialist in synthetic lubricants. In addition to supporting Subaru Motorsports USA, Motul 300V can be found in the Subaru S209 and the Motul brand has partnerships globally with the SUBARU/STI MOTORSPORT team in Super GT, Subaru Tecnica International Inc. (STI), and Subaru UK.

Vermont SportsCar

Founded in 1998 by veteran co-driver and rally car builder Lance Smith, Vermont SportsCar is the home of Subaru Motorsports USA’s rally and rallycross programs. The company builds, sells, and rents Subaru rally cars to drivers and teams across the world. Vermont SportsCar prepares and maintains the team cars for Subaru Motorsports USA and manages all rally/rallycross team operations from their facility in Milton, Vermont.
