The Forester Hybrid seamlessly switches between its gas engine and electric motor to maximize efficiency and power whether you’re running errands or climbing a snowy mountain road. You get city commuting efficiency from the electric motor with the long-range capability of a SUBARU BOXER® gas engine that also charges the electric battery, so you never need to worry about charging.

  • The standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system in the Forester Hybrid SUV is designed to optimize traction in rain, snow, on rough roads, or even when there’s no road at all. It constantly evaluates acceleration, braking, and cornering in real time to continuously deliver power to all four wheels. If a wheel slips, power is instantaneously transferred to the wheels that have the most grip. It’s a level of all-weather, all-terrain standard capability the Honda CR-V Hybrid and Ford Escape Hybrid can’t match.
