    The standard direct-injection SUBARU BOXER engine delivers 182 horsepower and impressive mileage around town with its Auto Start-Stop Technology. A 260-horsepower direct-injection turbocharged SUBARU BOXER engine is also available, providing 277 pound-feet of torque for extra power and exciting daily driving.

Advanced Automatic Collision Notification will alert an operator in the event of an accident, and SOS Emergency Assistance can get you roadside help at the push of a button. Remote Engine Start with Climate Control, accessible via your smartphone, ensures your Outback is always ready and comfortable. There are also STARLINK Concierge services for personal assistance with tasks like navigation, restaurant reservations, and scheduling service appointments.

    Subaru DriverFocus® Distraction Mitigation System

    The 2024 Outback features a state-of-the-art system to help reduce distracted driving for both new and experienced drivers. Each day in the United States more than 1,000 people are injured in crashes reported to have involved a distracted driver. Working with our award-winning EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, the DriverFocus system is like having an attentive co-pilot along for the ride, available to give a helpful alert if a driver becomes distracted or drowsy. For added convenience, DriverFocus can also recognize up to five different drivers and remember their preferences, including seat position, climate control settings, and outside mirror position.

    The 2024 Outback is built on the Subaru Global Platform, which uses high-strength steel for enhanced crash safety, long-lasting quality, and a quieter cabin. The Outback also features eight airbags, height-adjustable head restraints in every seating position, and a ring-shaped reinforcement frame as standard equipment to help provide all-around impact protection.

    The 2024 Outback is a 5-seater SUV that offers long-distance comfort and high-tech convenience for every passenger. The available 12-way power front driver’s seat includes a four-way power lumbar adjustment and cargo pockets on the back of each front seat help you keep small items organized. Front and back passengers can access available USB-C charging ports in addition to the traditional USB-A ports for future device compatibility. In back, the rear gate has an available integrated LED lamp to help illuminate cargo as well as the area behind the Outback. There’s also soft genuine Nappa leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and a heated steering wheel all available for a premium experience on every trip.

    The 2024 Outback is a midsize SUV that gives you up to 109 cubic feet of roomy passenger comfort in both the front and rear seats. It’s a 5-seater SUV with more passenger space than the Honda CR-V, Toyota RAV4, or Jeep Grand Cherokee. Even full of passengers, you still get 32.6 cubic feet of cargo space. The available cargo area release levers make it even easier to fold the rear seats down, giving you up to 75.6 cubic feet of volume to haul more gear. Loading all that cargo is a cinch with the available Hands-Free Power Rear Gate, which allows automatic opening even when your arms are full and lets you close and lock the entire vehicle with a single touch of the gate button.
