Safety and Security services include Automatic Collision Notification, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Recovery, and the added convenience of Remote Services.
STARLINK Multimedia connects you and your Subaru to music, news, navigation, podcasts, and more. Wireless pairing and hands-free smartphone operation allow for safe and easy access to your favorite apps and content.

Wi-Fi Hotpot equipped vehicles also come with a free trial plan. Activate yours today by logging into your MySubaru account or by following the step-by-step instructions below.
How to connect to your in-vehicle Wi-Fi Hotspot
Step 1: On your Multimedia head unit go to Settings > General.
Step 2: Select Wi-Fi Hotspot and make sure it set to On.
Step 3: Go back to Settings > General and select Wi-Fi Hotspot Settings.
Step 4: Use the default Wi-Fi Hotspot name and password or create your own.
Step 5: On your Wi-Fi enabled device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and select the Wi-Fi Hotspot name and enter the password from Step 4.
Step 6: Your browser will automatically open and you will be led through creating an account with AT&T. Follow the on-screen instructions to select a data plan.
Note: Internet access is purchased separately through AT&T with monthly, per gigabyte, and unlimited data options available. Existing AT&T customers have the option to add an additional line to their AT&T Mobile Share plan.
Not all vehicles are equipped with a Wi-Fi Hotspot. See your Retailer to learn if your vehicle is equipped with this feature. An active STARLINK subscription is not required to purchase a Wi-Fi Hotspot data plan. Internet access is purchased separately through AT&T with monthly, per gigabyte, and unlimited data options available. Existing AT&T customers have the option to add a n additional line to their AT&T Mobile Share plan.
SUBARU STARLINK is the in-vehicle technology that provides hands-free connectivity, entertainment, and the security that you need to help keep you and your vehicle safe. STARLINK is composed of two separate systems: STARLINK Multimedia gives you access to news, navigation, food, weather, music, podcasts, audiobooks, and other multimedia content. STARLINK Safety and Security services include Automatic Collision Notification, Enhanced Roadside Assistance, Stolen Vehicle Recovery and the added convenience of Remote Services.
The overhead console buttons provide access to a SUBARU STARLINK Customer Care Advisor. Pressing the red SOS button connects users with a live advisor who can provide emergency assistance. Pressing the blue i-button connects you to Subaru Roadside Assistance.
SUBARU STARLINK allows you to use both SOS Emergency Assistance and Enhanced Roadside Assistance functions without the use of your smartphone via the buttons on your overhead console. However, all STARLINK Remote Access features do require using your smartphone or MySubaru.com to activate remote services.
The STARLINK app is required to enjoy STARLINK Multimedia content from your mobile device in your Subaru. Via the STARLINK cloud and your Bluetooth-enabled mobile device, the STARLINK app automatically pushes content like music, weather, podcasts, and much more from apps such as iHeartRadio®, Stitcher®, and Aha™. The STARLINK app provides hands-free connectivity allowing you to keep your hands on the wheel and attention on the road.
The MySubaru app is required for STARLINK Safety and Security Remote Services. Remote Services include remote vehicle lock and unlock, remote horn and lights, and remote vehicle locator, all accessible from your desktop, tablet, or mobile device.
The MySubaru app also provides access to vehicle diagnostic alerts, user preferences and other beneficial features enabled by your STARLINK Safety Plus & Security Plus subscription.

Pressing the blue i-button enables your Enhanced Roadside Assistance working in conjunction with your vehicle's Subaru Roadside Assistance coverage 24/7/365. No matter where you are, your STARLINK Customer Care Advisor will know your exact GPS location and will be able to send help.
Once a month, SUBARU STARLINK will email you a report on the status of your key vehicle systems. A link within the email will take you to MySubaru to view the report in full so you can always be aware of your vehicle’s health.
Log in to MySubaru and click on the “STARLINK Access” tab, select “STARLINK Profile/PIN”.
The MySubaru app and SUBARU STARLINK app are compatible with Apple iOS 10.3.2 or newer or Android 8.0 or newer.
If your Subaru vehicle is stolen, you will need to first file a police report with local law enforcement. The SUBARU STARLINK Customer Care Advisor will need a police report number to help local law enforcement find the location of your vehicle.
Log in to MySubaru.com, select your vehicle and click on “STARLINK Access tab” and choose “Account settings”. You can modify the notification to be one of the following; phone, email or text. Additional phone numbers can also be added.
