Today, it’s a disposable coffee cup or snack wrapper. Tomorrow, it could be a park bench or bike rack in your neighborhood. Over the past five years, Subaru and our retailers have partnered with TerraCycle® to recycle hard-to-recycle trash such as disposable cups, lids, and straws by using Zero Waste Boxes™ placed in participating Subaru stores. Trash that would normally go into a landfill has instead been transformed into useful goods that benefit our communities.
So far, through our Subaru Loves the Earth initiative, we’ve recycled over 8 million pieces of trash.
Subaru is the largest corporate donor to the National Park Foundation.
Through our partnership with TerraCycle®, Subaru and its retailers have recycled more than 8 million pieces of trash, keeping items like disposable cups, lids and straws, snack wrappers, and single-use coffee capsules, out of landfills.
The Subaru partnership with Leave No Trace has helped educate 220 million people on the importance of protecting the environment.
The National Parks Conservation Association (NPCA) and Subaru joined forces to use Subaru zero-landfill strategies to help our National Parks.
