The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics is a national organization, program and movement dedicated to protecting the outdoors by teaching people to enjoy it responsibly. Since 1999, Subaru has been the official vehicle of this organization and a proud partner, working together to create the Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainer Program. The four teams travel the country in their Subaru vehicles providing critical environmental education and programs to communities across the country.

Additionally, a Zero Landfill Traveling Trainer Program was developed in partnership with Leave No Trace to focus specifically on Subaru Zero Landfill Initiative (ZLI) efforts. The ZLI was established as a way for Subaru to share its knowledge of zero-landfill practices with the National Park Service to help reduce landfill waste in the parks. Beginning summer 2018, the ZLI trainers will travel to three ZLI pilot parks -- Grand Teton, Denali and Yosemite -- to educate park visitors and the surrounding communities about the ZLI program and how to help the parks reach their goal.
