Founded in 1866, the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) was the first animal welfare organization to be established in North America and today serves as the nation’s leading voice for vulnerable and victimized animals. With more than 2 million supporters nationwide, the ASPCA is committed to preventing cruelty to dogs, cats, equines, and farm animals throughout the United States. The ASPCA assists animals in need through on-the-ground disaster and cruelty interventions, behavioral rehabilitation, animal placement, legal and legislative advocacy, and the advancement of the sheltering and veterinary community through research, training, and resources.

According to the ASPCA, each year approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. shelters. At Subaru, we are committed to helping all animals — including those in shelters — stay safe and healthy.

Subaru has donated more than $38 million to the ASPCA to support animals in need nationwide. Since 2008, our partnership has had a significant impact on the rescue, transport, well-being and adoption of more than 134,000 animals across the country.
