What is California’s MyFirstEV program?

MyFirstEV is a California incentive program that helps make a first zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) more affordable. Eligible Californians can receive $3,500 off a new ZEV at the point of sale, with the incentive available through participating automakers and dealerships while funding lasts.

How is the $3,500 incentive applied?

The $3,500 MyFirstEV incentive is applied instantly at the dealership and built into the purchase or lease transaction, reducing the vehicle’s price before you take delivery. There’s no separate application or waiting for reimbursement, but eligible customers must complete and sign the required MyFirstEV self-attestation at the retailer.

Can MyFirstEV be combined with other EV incentives or Subaru offers?

Potentially. MyFirstEV may be combined with other eligible incentives or Subaru offers, subject to program and offer terms. Ask your participating California Subaru retailer which offers can be combined at the time of purchase or lease. Subaru’s offers can vary by model, location, and eligibility.

Can I order a Subaru EV before the program launches and receive the incentive later?

No. The MyFirstEV incentive must be applied at the time of an eligible purchase or lease through a participating California Subaru retailer. Are Subaru hybrids eligible for MyFirstEV?

Is the MyFirstEV incentive guaranteed?
