One-year-old Gato was rescued after being found abandoned in a cat carrier on a construction site. Emaciated and in poor condition, he was quickly taken to the ASPCAĀ® Animal Recovery Center (ARC) to receive immediate care. It was discovered that Gato has cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological disorder that meant he would need a very special adopter to love him for who he is and give him a little extra support. Luckily that adopter was by his side caring for him at ARC the whole time and he was later adopted by Juanita, an ASPCA Integrated Care Assistant. With help from Subaru and the annual Subaru Share the Love Event, the ASPCA can continue to operate lifesaving facilities like ARC to help reach more animals like Gato.
