Subaru owners love the national parks, so Subaru works hard to conserve them. All Subaru products are manufactured in zero-landfill production plants, and Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. is the only U.S. automobile production plant to be designated a backyard wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. With this expertise, Subaru joined forces with the National Parks Conservation Association to see how Subaru’s zero-landfill experience could be applied to help our national parks.

In partnership with the National Park Service, National Park Foundation, Subaru, and other partners, the National Parks Conservation Association is helping implement Subaru zero-landfill expertise across the country, including thought leadership, community engagement, on-site evaluation, date collection, and strategic planning.

To date, Subaru has provided almost 1,000 waste and recycling containers and has helped keep over 22 million pounds of waste out of landfills. Overall, Subaru has helped protect over 84 million acres of land in America's more than 400 national parks.
