It's very easy to use. No software or setup required. It works like any other WiFi hotspot. Just connect, launch your browser and surf.
Yes. The WiFi connection is secured with WEP encryption, MAC address restriction or WAN port restriction. Supports WPA/WPA2 encryption. Also supports VPN pass-through. Public hotspots do not offer security.
Over the 3G network, download speeds average from 400kbps-800kbps. Upload ranges from 128kbps-300kbps. When not on 3G the average download is 120kbps-200kbps and 50kbps-100kbps for upload.
You can access the router for up to 150ft around the vehicle.
My Autonet Mobile allows you to take a closer look at your router's usage and to test threshold limits to notify you when you're close to reaching the usage you set.
Yes. The other 2010 or 2011 Outback would also need a router mounting base which must be purchased separately.
Autonet Mobile is the Internet Service Provider and does not work with your existing carrier. You will need to subscribe to their service in order to take advantage of having a Wi-Fi hotspot in your car.
If you exceed your monthly data plan of 1GB or 5GB, your connection speed will decrease until the new month starts. The throttling is progressive. The more you exceed your limit the slower your connection.
A month to month plan is not available. A one year contract is required.
You cannot suspend or cancel your contract without penalties. If you cancel your subscription during your contract period, you will be responsible for 50% of the remaining balance.
