Established in 1988, Vermont SportsCar (VSC) has been the technical partner of Subaru Motorsports USA since 2006. Competing in two race disciplines, rally and rallycross, as well as one-off events and special vehicle projects, VSC manages all aspects of motorsports operations and development for Subaru of America as well as administering contingency programs for eligible Subaru privateer racers under the Subaru Rally Support Program.

For the 2022 racing season, Subaru Motorsports USA and Vermont SportsCar will compete for the American Rally Association championship with a two-car team consisting of the #1 WRX STI team of Travis Pastrana and Rhianon Gelsomino and the #180 WRX STI of Brandon Semenuk and Keaton Williams. In rallycross, the team will defend their 2021 Nitro Rallycross driver and team championships with race-prepared 600-horsepower WRX STI vehicles.
