Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) ensures that our culture reflects the very values we share with the world: Honesty, Empathy, Appreciation, Respect, and Trust.

The DEIB vision is to create a space where everyone can feel safe, seen, and celebrated for their individuality. We do more than make room at the table — we make sure every voice is welcomed, because every perspective matters. We believe that our diversity makes us stronger and that together we can shape the future of our organization.

DEIB from Promise to Practice

The belief that everyone belongs is brought to life through four key areas — each one rooted in care and each one focused on real impact. 

1.  Workplace

We foster a culture of openness in which reflection is encouraged, hard conversations are supported, and understanding grows with every exchange. Our Employee Resource Groups create community, not only for those who share an identity but for anyone who wants to learn and help. The ERGs strengthen our foundation, creating space for people to connect, contribute, and show up for one another. No matter who you are or where you work within the Subaru network, there's space to engage, connect, and be part of this meaningful work. 

2. Workforce

We know that the strongest teams reflect a range of voices, backgrounds, and life paths. That’s why we continue to expand how and where we connect with talent. We are committed to expanding our talent pipeline and inviting more people to consider joining our team. It’s not just about hiring for us — it’s about attracting the best talent and showcasing what makes our company a place where all people, with diverse experiences, perspectives, and from various walks of life, can thrive.  

3. Marketplace

Belonging doesn’t stop at the corporate office. We work with our retailers to build environments that reflect and welcome a diverse customer base. We create tools, stories, and learning moments that help retailers meet customers with empathy and connect through trust and a shared effort to understand each customer’s unique needs and expectations of our brand to ensure our love is felt by all. 

4. Community

This work only matters if it reaches beyond us into the places and people to whom we’re connected. We are proud of our long-standing partnerships with community organizations that make a meaningful impact. In Camden, New Jersey, our hometown, we have several initiatives to support our neighbors, whether that’s helping students access automotive training through the Subaru University Scholarship or adopting classrooms throughout the Camden City School District in partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org to ensure students have the school supplies they need throughout the year. And thanks to our ERGs, we’ve awarded community grants to local nonprofits, deepening the long-term relationships we continue to build in Camden.
