“The 2016 Crosstrek is an IIHS Top Safety Pick+
when equipped with optional EyeSight®.”

Subaru Award-winning Safety
As an IIHS Top Safety Pick for four years running (2013–2016), it’s no wonder we’ve found
ways to make the 2016 Crosstrek even better at protecting what’s inside. All-new SUBARU
STARLINK™ Safety and Security connected services offer instant access to help when you
need it most 24/7, 365 days a year.1 Its AWD capability means you’ll have control, even
in unfavorable weather. There are also available features like Blind-Spot Detection and Rear
Cross-Traffic Alert2 to help you avoid a collision.
Before you can avoid danger, you have to see it coming. The Crosstrek features
a standard Rear-Vision Camera that gives you a clearer view of the area behind
your vehicle, so you can be in charge of your surroundings.
Rear Cross-Traffic Alert
The newly available Rear Cross-Traffic Alert system uses radar sensors to
help warn you of traffic approaching from the side as you are backing up,
utilizing an audible warning and flashing visual indicators in your side mirrors
and Rear-Vision Camera display2.

Using radar sensors, the newly available Blind-Spot Detection system warns
you with a visual indicator in each side mirror if a vehicle is sensed in your blind
spots. Another feature of this system, Lane Change Assist, alerts you with
a flashing indicator in each side mirror if it senses a vehicle approaching in a
neighboring lane while you signal for a lane change2.

To help keep occupants safe, we included seven standard airbags (SRS),
including a driver’s side knee airbag offering additional protection in the
event of a crash.3
Our Ring-shaped Reinforcement Frame is exceptionally strong for maximum
resistance to impact energy, while its unique configuration helps divert that
energy away from occupants. Also, front, front-side and side-curtain airbags3—
standard on every Crosstek—surround outboard occupants in the event of a
crash to further help prevent injury.
Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive helps keep things stable in emergency
maneuvers, while VDC electronic traction and stability control can detect a loss
of control and intervene to help keep you on your intended path. There are
also powerful and reliable disc brakes to give you confidence in braking with
advanced Brake Assist to help apply maximum pressure when you need it.

|2||Blind-Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert are systems designed to assist the driver by monitoring the rear and side areas of the vehicle during a lane change or reversing and are not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. Image for illustration purposes only. Feature availability varies by trim level. See your retailer.|
|3||The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) (airbags) affords the driver and the front and rear outboard passengers additional protection in moderate to severe frontal and side-impact collisions. This system provides supplemental protection only, and seatbelts must be worn to avoid injuries to out-of-position occupants upon airbag deployment and to provide the best combined protection in a serious accident. Children should always be properly restrained in the rear seat.|
