Since 2018, Subaru has partnered with TerraCycle, an innovative recycling company currently working with Subaru retailers in 590 markets across the U.S. to collect hard-to-recycle items and transform them into valuable products. To date, Subaru, its retailers, and partners have helped collect more than 2 million snack wrappers nationwide – more than 15 tons of waste – which are transformed by TerraCycle into items like picnic tables for the city of Camden and Adirondack chairs, picnic tables, and benches for the NatureBridge Center in Yosemite National Park (Subaru purchases these items from TerraCycle and donates them). As part of its #DontFeedTheLandfill campaign, Subaru has provided funding to place TerraCycle recycling containers with universal sorting symbols throughout Denali, Grand Teton, and Yosemite national parks – diverting 4.5 million pounds of waste from the National Park Service landfill.
