Introducing the Subaru Ascent SUV Concept

The Newly Redesigned 2018 Subaru Outback

The 2018 Subaru Outback features upgrades to its technology, comfort, and style — on top of standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive + 32 MPG**, a spacious and comfortable interior, and 8.7 inches of ground clearance. And it’s still the longest-lasting vehicle in its class.

Legendary Subaru Symmetrical AWD + 32 MPG**

Designed for optimal balance and an even distribution of power for maximum traction, standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive makes for exceptional stability, impressive efficiency, and a quick response to adverse conditions. A durable 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine combines with a Lineartronic® CVT to deliver up to a fuel-efficient 32 MPG** highway. If even more capability is needed, a 256-hp 6-cylinder SUBARU BOXER engine is also available.

SUBARU STARLINK Multimedia

An updated STARLINK Multimedia system comes standard with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Pandora® integration. It allows easy wireless pairing and hands-free operation with your smartphone while connecting your favorites apps to your vehicle. Access news, navigation, music, podcasts, audiobooks, and more through available STARLINK apps and SiriusXM® Satellite Radio. All on a newly available 8-inch touch screen.

EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology

EyeSight monitors traffic movement, optimizes cruise control, and warns you when you’re swaying outside your lane. The Pre-Collision Braking feature can even apply full braking force and bring you to a complete stop in emergency situations. It’s another way Subaru designs vehicles with your safety in mind. Available on select models.

Active Safety

Outback offers a host of available active safety technologies. Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist warns you with a visual indicator in each side mirror if it senses a vehicle in your blind spots while Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Reverse Automatic Braking, and a standard Rear-Vision Camera assist while backing up. Together with EyeSight, they provide an all-around suite of awareness and safety.

LED Steering Responsive Headlights and High Beam Assist

Get a clearer look around every bend with available LED Steering Responsive Headlights, which actively track in the direction of a turn to enhance visibility. Available High Beam Assist can automatically switch the headlights between the high and low settings when an oncoming vehicle is detected, enhancing safety for both you and other drivers on the road.

Spacious, More Comfortable Interior

Inside, the Outback interior — with its spacious 108.1 cubic feet of passenger room — has been restyled for a more refined feel and enhanced comfort with upgraded materials and new finishes, including stitched dash and door panel trim. For 2018, the Outback’s interior is now quieter with the addition of noise-reducing laminated front side glass and more aerodynamic side mirrors.

Love is out there.
