The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA) is the first animal welfare organization in North America, and serves as the nation’s leading voice for animals in the areas of anti-cruelty, community outreach, and animal health services.
A partner since 2008, Subaru has donated close to $12 million to the ASPCA and helped support over 1,200 pet adoption events, resulting in more than 10,000 adoptions to date.
National Wildlife Federation is a voice for wildlife, dedicated to protecting wildlife and habitat and inspiring the future generation of conservationists.
A 2008–2009 Subaru “Share the Love” partner, the National Wildlife Federation used the money donated to support its efforts to safeguard places for wildlife and connect people with nature.
Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.
The National Park Foundation, in partnership with the National Park Service, enriches America’s national parks and programs.
Thanks to funds contributed by Subaru during the 2013 “Share the Love” event, 71 national parks are receiving critical support to preserve important historical sites that tell the story of our nation, protect threatened species and habitat, and conduct outreach and education programs in local communities.
American Forests, the oldest national nonprofit conservation organization in the country, protects and restores urban and rural forests. Since 1990, the organization has planted more than 45 million trees in forests throughout the U.S. and in 44 countries.
With the funding donated by Subaru during the 2011 “Share the Love” event, American Forests initiated the “Forests for Fifty” campaign to complete reforestation and education projects in all 50 states.
Ocean Conservancy educates and empowers citizens to take action on behalf of the ocean. The organization brings people together to find solutions for our water planet. Informed by science, the work of Ocean Conservancy guides policy and engages people in protecting the ocean and its wildlife for future generations.
Ocean Conservancy participated as a Subaru “Share the Love” partner in 2010. The resulting donation helped Ocean Conservancy save wildlife, remove millions of pounds of trash from beaches and waterways, and reform how we care for the ocean – the life support system of our planet.
The American Canoe Association (ACA) supports all disciplines of paddling for people of all abilities. The association teaches how to access and enjoy America’s waterways safely with the proper skills, and to take care of these recreational waterways. Last year, the ACA removed 624,000 pounds of trash from our waterways.
Subaru of America is the official vehicle of the American Canoe Association and a proud partner of to their organization and its initiatives. ACA also partnered with Subaru to create reusable mesh bags tough enough to pick up the waste found in our waterways.
Leave No Trace is a national organization that protects the outdoors by teaching people how to enjoy it responsibly. Since 1999, Subaru has been the official vehicle of this organization and a proud partner, working together to create the Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainer Program. This program enables teams of educators to drive across the country providing education and outreach to better educate participants and to help sustain our natural resources.
Additionally, Subaru and Leave No Trace have identified eight areas facing the threat of irreversible environmental damage. The Subaru/Leave No Trace Traveling Trainers work with volunteers, nonprofit organizations and government agencies to reduce the impact of recreational activities in these endangered areas.
The International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) is a nonprofit organization headquartered in Boulder, CO, that encourages responsible off-road cycling, supporting volunteer trail work and promoting cooperation among trail users. IMBA enhances and preserves great mountain biking experiences through a network of 160 local chapters nationwide.
Subaru is the official vehicle of the IMBA since 1996 and proud to have partnered with IMBA to create The Subaru/IMBA Trail Care Crew program. This program encourages sustainable trail building practices and promotes the education and efforts of IMBA chapters throughout the country. To date, Subaru and IMBA have impacted thousands of trails and communities.
United By Blue (UBB) is an ocean-friendly brand of apparel located in Philadelphia, PA. For every product sold, United by Blue removes 1 pound of trash from our world’s oceans and waterways through company-organized and -hosted cleanups.
Since April 2012, Subaru has been the official vehicle and proud partner enabling United by Blue to reach over 100 cleanups across the country. Together, United By Blue and Subaru have removed close to 20,000 pounds of trash from our oceans and waterways.
It’s our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.
Teach For America works to find, train, and support individuals who are committed to educational equity to teach in high-need classrooms across the country. Through this experience, they become lifelong leaders in efforts to ensure that all children have access to an excellent education.
With the support of Subaru during the 2013 “Share the Love” event, Teach For America was able to recruit, select, train, and provide ongoing support for more than 11,000 teachers and 32,000 alumni in 48 urban and rural regions across the country.
The Garden State Discovery Museum is one of New Jersey’s most popular cultural attractions and South Jersey’s largest children’s museum. The Garden State Discovery Museum provides multifaceted learning opportunities for infants, children, and their favorite caregivers.
Subaru of America directly supports the Subaru Center for Learning, Subaru Green Gardens Initiative, Subaru Butterfly Garden, Subaru Science Shop Exhibit, and the Subaru Garage.
The Student Spaceflight Experiments Program is designed to inspire and engage America’s next generation of scientists and engineers. It is accomplished by providing each participating community with their own very real Space Program.
Subaru’s support of the program has impacted 3,100 students in seven different Subaru of America communities.
The New Jersey Academy for Aquatic Sciences promotes the understanding, appreciation, and protection of aquatic life and habitats through research, education, and youth development programs.
Subaru has been a long-time partner, helping to provide science training, personal and life-skill workshops, and 21st-century work skills. These provide economic support and a sense of self-confidence and competence.
Subaru Healthy Sprouts program, awarding materials to create school gardens. Funded by a generous grant from the Subaru of America Foundation, Inc., nine schools in southern New Jersey will be selected to receive technical assistance, horticultural and garden education consultation, and $1,000 in materials and funding to lay the foundation for their garden program.

The Perkins Center for the Arts is a nonprofit organization dedicated to excellence in the arts. The center provides a variety of creative opportunities for people of all ages at every level of artistic development throughout Southern New Jersey.
The Subaru of America Foundation helps support two of its community-based efforts: the creation of a permanent rain garden, and learning centers in Camden and Burlington Counties of New Jersey.
Meals On Wheels Association of America is the oldest and largest membership organization supporting the national network of more than 5,000 Senior Nutrition Programs that operate in all 50 states and U.S. territories. These programs work to keep 2.5 million seniors healthy, safe, and living independently in their own homes each year.
Subaru retailers and Meals on Wheels have worked together since 2008. Over the length of the partnership, Subaru of America has provided Meals On Wheels with the funding to support the delivery of nearly 1 million meals.
Habitat for Humanity is a global Christian nonprofit whose vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. A three-time Subaru “Share the Love” partner, Habitat received more than $3.1 million from 2008–2010. This funding supported Habitat’s Global Impact Fund, strengthening families and communities through house construction, rehabilitation, and preservation.
The partnership fueled Habitat’s growth from serving 55,459 families in 2008 to more than 67,000 families worldwide in 2010, driving Habitat closer to its 2018 goal to serve 1 million people annually.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is the nation’s largest donor- and volunteer-supported mentoring network, making meaningful monitored matches to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.
As a Subaru “Share the Love” partner in 2010, Big Brothers Big Sisters received $676,754 in donations. These funds allowed Big Brother Big Sisters to improve the measurement of impact to the nearly 600,000 children, guardians, and volunteers they serve annually.
Boys & Girls Clubs of America strives to enable all young people, especially those who need support most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. The organization provides safe places during out-of-school time for the nearly 4 million youth it serves annually.
Subaru of America supported Boys & Girls Clubs during the 2008–2009 “Share the Love” event and helped raise the capacity of the clubs to serve more kids, more often.
The USO lifts the spirits of America's troops and military families, and is the only private, nonprofit organization that serves these men and women in the U.S. military and their families throughout their service, from the moment they join, through their deployments, and as they transition back to their communities.
The 2012 “Share the Love” event supported programs and services for those who need the USO most: forward-deployed troops; military families; families of the fallen; wounded, ill and injured; and troops in transition.
Subaru is the sponsor of the Subaru Choice Food Pantry at the Kroc Center in Camden, NJ. Kroc Center is the first choice food pantry in Southern New Jersey, helping people live healthier lives by making healthier, self-sustaining food choices.
Subaru employees have volunteered at this senior residential community for the past two years, during our annual Subaru Legacy Days.
The Food Bank of South Jersey exists to provide an immediate solution to the urgent problem of hunger by providing food to needy people, teaching them to eat nutritiously, and helping them to find sustainable ways to improve their lives.
Since 1986, Subaru of America and its employees have helped support the food bank through product and financial donations, employee volunteerism, and donations from the Subaru “Share the Love” Garden and Drive Out Hunger food drive.
New Visions is a day service center that provides shelter and warmth to Camden’s homeless community. It is the only center in Camden that serves men as well as women and children (during nonschool hours).
The shelter provides breakfast, lunch, shower facilities, laundry facilities, a food pantry, a clothing closet, mail services, and assistance to guests in their employment search. Since 2009, Subaru has donated a part of the Subaru “Share the Love” Garden harvest and time to help serve meals, along with clothing.
Philabundance has a simple belief that no man, woman, or child should go hungry. They are able to address hunger through direct-service programs and a network of 500 member agencies, as well as contribute to a broad spectrum of social services through food cupboards, emergency kitchens, shelters, daycare and senior centers, and beyond. A multi-year partner, Subaru and its employees routinely volunteer at the food bank and provide food donations.
This corporate-wide employee-driven food drive provides much needed donations for local food banks when school is getting out for the summer, helping to fill the gap for food-insecure families. The food drive has provided more than 353,000 meals to food banks and pantries across the United States.
Two gardens — one at the Subaru corporate headquarters in Cherry Hill, NJ, and the other at the Subaru Western Region office in Denver, CO — provide fresh produce to local food banks and pantries. Nearly 4,000 pounds of produce has been donated to help feed those in need.
We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.
Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. According to a 2011 U.S. study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true can have positive impacts on the health of children, and kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illnesses. Make-A-Wish grants a wish somewhere in the country every 38 minutes.
Make-A-Wish has been a proud Subaru “Share the Love” partner since 2011. Since that time, Subaru has donated more than $4.5 million dollars, helping to grant 610 wishes in the U.S.
Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities — with 4.4 million athletes in 170 countries and millions more volunteers and supporters.
Subaru partnered with Special Olympics during the 2011 Subaru “Share the Love” event and donated a total of $613,536 in support of the organization.
The Alzheimer’s Association leads the global research effort to end Alzheimer’s disease while providing education and support to the millions who face dementia every day. T
he Alzheimer’s Association was a Subaru “Share the Love” event partner in 2012 and will use the funds raised to advance research while providing care and support to families in communities nationwide.
Dining Out For Life (DOFL) is an annual fundraising event involving more than 3,000 restaurants donating a portion of their proceeds from one special day of dining to support AIDS Service Organizations in their local communities.
As a sponsor for the past eight years, Subaru has helped Dining Out For Life raise funds to provide care, prevention, education, testing, counseling, and other essential HIV/AIDS services in the cities where funds were raised. Last year alone, more than $4.2 million was raised to support the cause.
