Subaru Award-winning Safety

When it comes to protecting what’s inside, we build our vehicles to meet the highest standards.
All-new SUBARU STARLINK Safety and Security connected services offer instant access
to help when you need it most 24/7, 365 days a year2,3. AWD capability on most of our models
means you’ll have control, even in unfavorable weather. There are also available features like
Blind-Spot Detection and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert3,4 to help you avoid a collision.

Rear-Vision Camera

Before you can avoid danger, you have to see it coming. Every Subaru vehicle
features a standard Rear-Vision Camera that gives you a clearer view of
the area behind your vehicle, so you can be in charge of your surroundings.

Rear Cross-Traffic Alert

The Rear Cross-Traffic Alert system uses radar sensors to help warn you of traffic
approaching from the side as you are backing up, utilizing an audible warning and
flashing visual indicators in your side mirrors and Rear-Vision Camera display3,4.

Blind-Spot Detection

Using radar sensors, the Blind-Spot Detection system warns you with a visual
indicator in each side mirror if a vehicle is sensed in your blind spots. Another
feature of this system, Lane Change Assist, alerts you with a flashing indicator in
each side mirror if it senses a vehicle approaching in a neighboring lane while
you signal for a lane change3,4.

Passenger Protection

To help keep occupants safe, every Subaru we build features a comprehensive
suite of several standard airbags (SRS), including front, front-side and side-
curtain airbags offering the protection you need in the event of a crash5.

All-Around Protection

Our Ring-shaped Reinforcement Frame is exceptionally strong for maximum
resistance to impact energy, while its unique configuration helps divert that
energy away from occupants. Also, front, front-side and side-curtain airbags5
standard on every Subaru vehicle—surround outboard occupants in the event
of a crash to further help prevent injury.

Exceptional Control

Available on most Subaru models, Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive helps keep
things stable in emergency maneuvers, while electronic traction and stability control
can detect a loss of control and intervene to help keep you on your intended path.
There are also powerful and reliable disc brakes to give you confidence in braking
with advanced Brake Assist to help apply maximum pressure when you need it.

5   The Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) (airbags) affords the driver and the front and rear outboard passengers additional protection in moderate to severe frontal and side-impact collisions. This system provides supplemental protection only, and seatbelts must be worn to avoid injuries to out-of-position occupants upon airbag deployment and to provide the best combined protection in a serious accident. Children should always be properly restrained in the rear seat.
