Steamboat Springs, Colorado is an outdoor enthusiast's playground with some of the world's best mountains to ski, bike, fish and hike on. It is also the home of Rally Colorado, which in its fourth year has become one of the most formidable races on the Rally America Championship Schedule. Long stretches of dusty roads mixed with high altitudes and rugged mountain passes push both the driver and the car's endurance to the max.

Round 3 of 2011 Global RallyCross Championship - RallyCross

By: Subaru - June 19, 2011

<

The final round of the 2011 Global RallyCross Championship has concluded with a dramatic final race just south of Colorado Springs, CO. Spectators packed Pikes Peak International Raceway on Saturday and the drivers signature session tent was mobbed as fans eagerly met with competitors. The racing got underway early in the afternoon and Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins won both of his heat races in his 2011 Subaru WRX STI. The car has really come into its own as a competitive rallycross machine and it was very exciting for SRT USA to see their hard work paying off. The A Main Final was fully stacked with an unprecedented eight vehicles on the starting grid.

Round 3 of 2011 Global RallyCross Championship - SuperRally

By: Subaru - June 18, 2011

Subaru Rally Team USA has landed in Colorado Springs for the final round of the Global Rallycross Championship at Pikes Peak International Raceway. This event, labeled Last Chance, features two separate days of racing with the one-on-one SuperRally on Friday and the RallyCross competition on Saturday. This weekend marks the first time SRT USA's David Higgins has campaigned in a Rallycross format event. Jump practice was first on the schedule today, and went very smoothly for Higgins in his 2011 Subaru WRX STI. Though he had never previously attempted the huge 50-foot gap jump, he was immediately comfortable tackling this essential component of Rallycross.

Round 2 of 2011 Global RallyCross Championship - Day 2

By: Subaru - April 17, 2011

Day 2 of the Global RallyCross Championship's Round 2: Twin Peaks welcomed a sold-out crowd to the muddy grounds of the DirtFish Rally School at the Old Mill Adventure Park in Snoqualmie, Washington. Rally fans in the Pacific Northwest are known for their tenaciousness and this crowd was no exception as they withstood the cycles of wind and rain that punctuated the sunshine and racing in synchronicity with the event schedule. When the sun shone and the engines roared, the action was incomparable. The crowd witnessed everything from neck-and-neck drag races off the start line to overtakings, collisions, rolls, and even a forward somersault by one car who shorted the jump.

Subaru Rally Team USA driver Ken Block Impresses in SP Class at Rally Colorado

By: Subaru - September 20, 2009

<

Piloting a lesser specification Subaru Impreza WRX STI at this past weekend's Rally Colorado, Subaru Rally Team USA (SRT USA) driver Ken Block hovered near the top of the time sheets throughout the event. Block was without his usual high-powered Open Class 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI and instead drove the Super Production (SP) Class Subaru Impreza WRX STI of fellow SRT USA teammate Dave Mirra, who did not attend Rally Colorado due to a schedule conflict with a BMX event. Block and his co-driver, Alex Gelsomino, put in an impressive drive in the lower-specification SP class car, running a majority of the rally in 3rd Overall and winning three stages outright...
