Looking back on the 2011 season, Subaru Rally Team USA's Craig Drew can add another championship win to his collection. Alongside driver David Higgins the duo secured the 2011 Rally America National Championship with three event wins and five podium finishes out of a total of six events.

Since competing in his first forest rally in 2005, England's Craig Drew has quickly risen to the top of British Rallying. In 2006 and 2007 Craig competed in the British Gravel Rally Championship in a World Rally Car, finishing the 2007 season in 2nd place overall. This was enough to be selected for the 2008 MSA Rally Elite Scheme, a program devised by former World Champion co-drivers Robert Reid and Nicky Grist to help develop the UK's best up and coming co-driving talent. In 2008, Craig competed in the UK Mitsubishi Evolution Challenge, finishing joint-first, and in 2009 enjoyed podium-finishes in the British, Chinese and European Rally Championships.
2010 was Craig's most successful season to date, as he was crowned the British Tarmac Rally Champion while sitting aboard with driver Damian Cole in a World Rally Car. His busy year concluded by competing in the British Rally Championship and the Middle-East Rally Championship.

By: Subaru - November 07, 2013
With an unbroken string of podium finishes, Subaru Rally Team USA has lead the Rally America Championship for the majority of the season. However, with the competition stepping up their game and only two events remaining, the points gap has tightened. Hanging dust, power steering failure, and injuries to David Higgins at the penultimate event have put the Subaru team into damage control. Their ability to finish the event is now in question, but with bandages and ice David Higgins refuses to give up valuable championship points and finishes the Ojibwe Rally. The final rally will be a winner-take-all battle royale.
SRT USA wins 2013 Rally America National Championship
By: Subaru - October 21, 2013
Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins and co-driver Craig Drew were crowned the 2013 Rally America National Champions, with a spectacular victory at the Lake Superior Performance Rally (LSPR); the final round of the 2013 Rally America Championship. Higgins entered LSPR locked in an epic season-long battle with rival Ken Block. Block needed a win at LSPR to steal the championship away from Higgins, who had led in points nearly all season. Higgins and Block both drove flat-out at LSPR, with Higgins edging ahead of Block near the mid-point of the rally. After sustaining heavy damage by rolling his car, Block retired, handing Higgins the rally win and more importantly the Championship, his third Rally America Driver's Title in a row.

Launch Control - Episode 13: "In The End - Part 1"
By: Subaru - October 21, 2013
If it was simple, anyone could do it. There would be no need for hours of toil. No reason for endless development. There would be no need to race. But instead, the pursuit of speed never ends. Race cars might run on fuel, but they are built and driven with heart. It's been a season full of highs and lows, but with just two rally events remaining, and a championship up for grabs, the time for heart is now.
The 2013 Ojibwe Forests Rally features nearly 140 miles of technical sandy gravel roads around the western Minnesota town of Detroit Lakes. In rally, you race the elements as well as your opponents. The concern here at Ojibwe Rally is dust. Even a 3-minute dust window might not be enough to get a clear line of sight when racing at speed. Ken Block is first on the road, and evidence of a difficult event is already apparent. As David and Craig pull up to the start line behind Block, the dust still lingers around them.
As expected the dust eats away at their visibility. Only seconds into a 2-day rally and the team knows they are losing time. Sections of clear vision build confidence only to have that confidence ripped away by a wall of dust. The team will end day one down by over a minute. Not exactly the race they had hoped for.
However, as the cars set out to start the second day of racing, the wind has picked up which should help visibility. With over a minute to make up, David and Craig know they need to gain ground with every mile. Early on day two, Higgins loses the power steering, then shortly thereafter something in the road surface snaps the wheel which seriously injures his hand. After exiting the stage, Higgins and Drew pull over and work under the hood to try and repair the power steering when Higgins' foot is run over and injured by a passing SUV. Two injuries to the Subaru team driver in less than an hour could spell the end of their rally, putting their championship hopes in peril.
On the season finale of Launch Control, Subaru Rally Team USA tries to save their championship hopes. All while looking ahead to a new season in both disciplines. A championship will be handed out at the final event of the year. Will Subaru be handed a trophy, or a hand shake? That's next time on the season finale of Launch Control.

Launch Control - Championship Showdown Teaser - David Higgins vs Ken Block Season Finale
By: Subaru - October 04, 2013
It's been 13 races. 8 podiums, 2 wins. There are 4 drivers, 1 co-driver. Over forty mechanics and team members. Two teams, under one roof. These are numbers for statisticians to chew on. They are what pundits and accountants look for. But not race drivers. In RallyCross and Rally Racing, numbers barely scratch the surface. You call it a journey...they call it a mission. Through twelve episodes of Launch Control, you've joined the team on the motorsport rollercoaster, and seen a glimpse of what it takes... To be the best, and to never, ever give up. The final two episodes of the season remain. A culmination of a season-long ride. An evolution of a team, chasing an ever-moving target. A championship hangs in the balance.
Launch Control - Episode 11: "Eyes on the Prize"
By: Subaru - September 10, 2013
It's calm in sunny LA the week before the X Games, but on the other side of the country Subaru Rally Team USA is in the heat of battle at the New England Forest Rally. Sixteen seconds. It's all that separates David Higgins and Ken Block as the final day of the 2013 New England Forest Rally begins. The two teams have very different strategies. To stay in the hunt for the Rally America Championship, Block desperately needs the win today. Meanwhile, Subaru Rally Team USA is playing a longer game, banking on the significant points lead they've built by being on the podium at every event this year. However, if you were to suggest to David Higgins and Craig Drew that they should coast to second and bank the points, you'd quickly learn that this team has no interest in being runners-up!
Higgins and Drew 2nd at Ojibwe Forests Rally
By: Subaru - August 25, 2013
David Higgins and Craig Drew were determined to charge for the win. After running two spectator stages 10 miles east of Fargo, ND, SRT USA #75 headed back into the forest. Higgins and Drew were in the groove and won Stage 9 - Anchor Mattson, putting them just 31 seconds behind rival Ken Block. A stiff twenty miles per hour wind had trees swaying and dust dissipating quickly. It seemed as though the stage had been set for an SRT USA comeback, however, an unbelievable chain of events would occur making any progress towards the lead impossible. On Stage 10 they had a power steering issue and shortly thereafter something in the road surface snapped the wheel seriously injuring David Higgins' hand. With possibly broken fingers and a stiff steering, the duo raced towards the finish but another stage win was out of the question. Immediately after the stage David pulled over and was working under the hood to try and repair the steering when, impossibly, his foot was run over by an event medical crew. Rattled by the series of events, David and Craig proceeded to the next stage. There was even talk of Craig Drew driving, but David decided he could do it. What could possibly happen next? While waiting for the stage start a tree came crashing down in front of SRT USA #75 blocking the road. They eventually made it back to Service but it was clear that it was not meant to be. David and Craig heroically completed the event and with uttermost frustration settled for 2nd. The showdown for the 2013 Rally America Championship will continue at the Lake Superior Rally on Oct 18-19 in Houghton, Michigan.
Launch Control - Episode 10: "High Pressure Art"
By: Subaru - August 25, 2013
The Subaru PUMA RallyCross Team was fighting at the top during Round 5 of the Global RallyCross Championship held July 20th at Bristol Motor Speedway. Team driver Sverre Isachsen, a former three-time European RallyCross Champion, won his heat race advancing him to the front row of the Final. An impressive start by the Norwegian saw him run as high as 2nd Overall before race-contact crushed his exhaust, robbing his Subaru STI of power and dropping him back to 4th Overall, the team's best finish thus far in 2013 after competing in three earlier events. Teammates Dave Mirra and Bucky Lasek showed impressive pace but narrowly missed out on advancing to the Final.
Extreme Dust Frustrates SRT USA
By: Subaru - August 24, 2013
The first day of the 2013 Ojibwe Forests Rally has been completed but left David Higgins and Craig Drew extremely frustrated. Third on the road, SRT USA #75 battled intense and dangerous dusty conditions for six long stages. With no chance to keep up with with front runner Ken Block, it was a disappointing day to say the least. The 2013 Subaru WRX STI ran perfectly and Higgins and Drew set very good times, but steadily slipped back with each passing mile. Event organizers even spaced out the top cars to four minute intervals, but it did little to alleviate the visibility problems. Persistent dry conditions in the local area combined with a densely forested race course left dust just lingering. It's uncertain what can be done to improve the situation for Saturday's stages. SRT USA ended Day 1 in 2nd place only a minute behind the #1 spot, however, unless something changes for tomorrow the top of the podium may be out of reach.
Ojibwe Forests Rally Starts Today!
By: Subaru - August 23, 2013
David Higgins and Craig Drew are ready to fight for the win at the 2013 Ojibwe Forests Rally which kicks off this evening. Based in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota the course will cover hundreds of miles on dusty and at times extremely twisty roads. After Thursday's course recce, Co-Driver Craig Drew was in disbelief at the number of notes required for one of the stages and commented "There is one straight that's 60 yards long, the rest is continuous turns". SRT USA #75 is third on the road which will add to the challenge given the dense woods and billowing dust. Six stages will be run this evening followed by the bulk of stage miles on Saturday. Stay tuned for more photos and updates from Minnesota!
Isachsen repeats 3rd at GRC Atlanta - Mirra gets 4th!
By: Subaru - August 12, 2013
At the center of the massive Atlanta Motor Speedway, the Subaru PUMA RallyCross Team had assembled less than a week after winning Bronze at X Games in LA. It was hot and humid, and although the track was similar to other GRC Venues, it was extremely abrasive. Shakedown on Friday had gone well and Sverre Isachsen still high from his podium finish at X Games was happy. Bucky Lasek and Dave Mirra had made minor setup changes, but overall as practice started Saturday morning, everything was race ready. The rest of the day had its ups and downs, however, when the final checkered flag was waved, it was a fantastic finish for both Sverre Isachsen and teammate Dave Mirra. Sverre repeated his podium finish scoring another 3rd place, while Dave Mirra locked in 4th!

Higgins and Drew 2nd at New England Forest Rally
By: Subaru - July 27, 2013
The dust has settled after a fierce day of racing at the 2013 New England Forest Rally. Despite winning six of nine stages today, David Higgins and Craig Drew were unable to catch Block. With less than seven seconds separating the two after covering over a hundred competitive stage miles, it was a frustrating, yet still successful day for SRT USA. At the finish in Sunday River, David and Craig were clearly disappointed and Craig made it clear that "We're not happy unless we win!" However, SRT USA continues to lead the 2013 Rally America Championship and their Subaru WRX STI performed flawlessly all day over some of the roughest rally roads seen in North America. The weather conditions were dry and sunny with temperatures in the low 70's which made for perfect spectating. There was some dust, but a steady breeze kept it from becoming a major issue.
New England Forest Rally - Day 1
By: Subaru - July 27, 2013
The 2013 New England Forest Rally got underway with an overcast sky and mist in the air. Damp conditions the past week left roads firm with little or no dust which meant excellent grip and extremely high speeds. After a Parc Expose at the Sunday River Base Lodge, teams headed out to the famous Concord Pond Stage featuring numerous high speed jumps and an abundance of excited fans. The added grip and improvements in their 2013 Subaru WRX STI allowed David Higgins and Craig Drew to shave about 15 seconds of last year's time. SRT USA #75 then returned to Sunday River for a spectator stage & a service break before running the long Icicle Brook North & South stages, a lengthy 16 miles each.
Launch Control - Episode 7: "When It Rains, It Pours"
By: Subaru - July 19, 2013
The Global RallyCross season kicks off for the Subaru PUMA RallyCross Team, as Bucky Lasek, Dave Mirra, and Sverre Isachsen head overseas for X Games Barcelona. After a test session in the picturesque Monterrat area of Spain, it's time to hit the track in anger for the first time this season. However, nobody was expecting the sequence of events that would transpire on race day.
Back in the Rally America Championship, David Higgins and Craig Drew go to battle with Ken Block again at the Susquehannock Trail Rally. Subaru Rally Team USA suffers a major setback on stage 3, and puts in a valiant effort to keep fighting. Sometimes when it rains, it pours, but overcoming adversity is what makes rally so unique.

David Higgins and Craig Drew of Subaru Rally Team USA may be back-to-back champions, but at the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, Ken Block has been king. But, an overnight storm in Missouri has dumped snow on the high-speed stages, placing the whole outcome into question. Can the teams keep it on the road in the treacherous conditions? Can Higgins and Drew get their first career win at this event?

SRT USA #75 on the Podium at STPR
By: Subaru - June 02, 2013
David Higgins and Craig Drew had an amazing comeback during Day 2 of the STPR rally. Starting in 21st place overall, getting onto the podium was a daunting, but welcomed challenge. SRT USA #75 rocketed off the line on Stage 6 and all was going to plan, until after about 8 miles in a left 3 turn, the car kicked out unexpectedly. Two large trees loomed on the outside while David and Craig thought they were going to crash. They tensed and waited for the impact, but...nothing. They pulled back onto the road and Craig Drew continued calmly as if nothing had happened "...as I said, fast right long, 100, left 4..." Once clear of the Stage 6 finish, David Higgins commented "Now that's some precision parking!"

Disappointing Day 1 at STPR
By: Subaru - June 01, 2013
The 2013 STPR rally got off to a disappointing start for Subaru Rally Team USA today. After successfully completing the first two stages, the #75 WRX STI broke a tie-rod end on the third stage. David Higgins and Craig Drew stopped on-stage and attempted to make repairs, but ran out of time. The team decided to accept the time penalty (11 minutes) for not completing today's stages and will re-enter tomorrow under SuperRally rules. Although disappointing, the vast majority of stage miles remain and a good result is still very possible. SRT USA #75 will be in the #2 start slot for Saturday's stages. The first stage SS6 - Phasa, gets underway at 10:20am.

SRT USA #75 Ready for STPR 2013
By: Subaru - May 30, 2013
The Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally (STPR) is underway in sunny and beautiful Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. Fifty four teams traversed hundreds of miles on back roads today during the course recce. This course inspection allows teams to preview the road conditions and fine tune their stage notes for both speed and safety. Several days of rain left the roads damp with little or no dust, however, this could change if hot temperatures persist without any new precipitation. David Higgins and Craig Drew took multiple passes on the Shakedown stage and found their 2013 Subaru WRX STI to be performing perfectly. The extremely fast and flowing Pennsylvania roads will provide an ideal battleground as the teams charge into the forests...

Higgins and Drew Dominate at Oregon Trail
By: Subaru - May 06, 2013
With a significant lead after two days of competition, David Higgins and Craig Drew entered the final day relaxed and confident. At the finish champagne celebration David Higgins offered some insight into their weekend. "We drove smart, at our own pace, and just avoided trouble. Once we amassed a big lead it afforded us the opportunity to really dial back the speed on Sunday and reduce the risks. We didn't win stages outright but knew it was the right strategy for victory. This is a very challenging event and I enjoy the big mix of character in the stages. This event has everything." This weekend's triumph marks David Higgins' third consecutive win at the Oregon Trail Rally.

SRT USA #75 Extends Lead after Day 2 in Oregon
By: Subaru - May 05, 2013
David Higgins and Craig Drew had a flawless Day 2 at the Oregon Trail Rally extending their lead to nearly three minutes! Running eight stages totaling just over fifty competitive miles, the 2013 Subaru WRX STI performed like a true champion. The conditions were dry and dusty, but a stiff breeze kept the dust at bay. SRT USA #75 was first on the road, but since lingering dust was not a factor, this start position was not ideal. The first few cars sweep away the loose gravel, revealing a much firmer road surface. Additionally, the lack of tracks and driving lines also add to the work load and challenges encountered at extreme speeds. Despite this, David Higgins and Craig Drew never missed a beat and...

Subaru Rally Team USA got off to a great start Friday at the 2013 Oregon Trail Rally. Under beautiful sunny skies, the Portland International Speedway was teeming with fans and racers as they prepared for the evening stages. David Higgins and Craig Drew were in good spirits as they climbed aboard their recently upgraded 2013 Subaru WRX STI. With a new Sadev 6 speed sequential transmission (same as the RallyCross cars) and an updated suspension the refinements should allow for even greater durability and improved performance. David Higgins described the new setup in one word as "efficient". It certainly proved to be just that - and fast...

Only three and a half hours north of Minneapolis in the 10,000 Lakes Region of the state. The beautiful surroundings and pleasant summer weather makes for a fun and exciting event for racers, volunteers and spectators alike. The Ojibwe Forests Rally is unique in that it features more night stages than many of the US rallys. The event takes place August 23-24, 2013.

By: Subaru - March 05, 2013
Subaru Rally Team USA driver David Higgins overcame the mud, snow, and ice that saturated the 2013 Rally in the 100 Acre Wood to take a dominating win in his 2013 Subaru WRX STI rally car. Set in Missouri's Ozark Foothills, the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood is the second round of the 2013 Rally America National Championship and is regarded as the fastest rally in the USA. However, this year a winter storm blanketed the region in a layer of ice and snow, making conditions treacherous at best. With maximum traction delivered by Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive over the difficult terrain, Higgins drove faultlessly...
David Higgins and Craig Drew win 100 Acre Wood Rally!
By: Subaru - February 24, 2013
Starting Day 2 with a massive lead, SRT USA's David Higgins and Craig Drew had few concerns as they climbed into their Subaru WRX STI. Ironically, David explained at the start, their one worry was driving slowly. "Anytime you try to slow down or drive conservatively you can lose your focus and make a mistake." It appears the duo didn't slow much as they proceeded to more than double their lead, winning the 2013 100 Acre Wood Rally by 8 minutes and 51 seconds. The road surfaces continued to be a challenge with some sections turning soft and muddy while shaded areas remained solidly frozen and very slippery. Regardless of the road surfaces, the Missouri spectators were out in force and determined to catch a glimpse of the action...
SRT USA leads 100 Acre Wood Rally after Day 1
By: Subaru - February 23, 2013
SRT USA is off to a fantastic start at the 2013 100 Acre Wood Rally. Despite snow and icy surfaces, David Higgins and Craig Drew expertly piloted their Subaru WRX STI to the top position and ended the day with a massive 3 minute 53 second lead. As expected, the weather stayed below freezing and clouds gave way to sunshine and clear skies as evening arrived. Surfaces ranged from unplowed snow covered roads in the morning to a tricky mix of grippy wet gravel and packed snow. This is an especially challenging surface combination since the grip can drastically change mid-turn sending cars off their intended line and possibly off the road entirely.
David Higgins commented before the start of the event that he had been looking...
100 Acre Wood roads covered with 2 inches of ice pellets...
By: Subaru - February 22, 2013
Without question weather and road conditions will be the toughest challenge facing teams at this year's 100 Acre Wood Rally. After two days of successful testing on dry fast roads, David Higgins and Craig Drew were shocked to find 1-2 inches of dense ice pellets covering every single road in the Salem, Missouri area Thursday morning. David Higgins is determined to charge for the win in his #75 Subaru WRX STI, however, in light of the demanding conditions a more patient approach could be prudent. The storm has passed, but with temperatures hovering around freezing snow and ice is likely to remain on the course throughout the event.
Despite the diverse and unpredictable surfaces, it could prove to be an advantage...

VIDEO: Big Jump on Stage 16 - Sno*Drift
By: Subaru - January 29, 2013
The 2013 Sno*Drift Rally, round one of the 2013 Rally America National Championship, was an epic seesaw battle between defending Rally America Champion David Higgins in his Subaru WRX STI and his arch rival, Canadian Rally Champion Antoine L'Estage. Higgins won or tied eight of the event's 20 stages while trading the lead three times throughout the two-day rally. On the final stage, L'Estage pulled past Higgins to win the rally by a mere 6.2 seconds. Higgins settled for second place overall but was content with the fact that he'll get a rematch with L'Estage at the next six Rally America rounds.

Higgins and Drew 2nd at Sno*Drift Rally
By: Subaru - January 29, 2013
After a hard fought snowy battle, David Higgins and Craig Drew ended the 2013 Sno*Drift Rally in second place. In the lead for most of the event, Higgins and Drew were confident headed into the final two stages. At the start of the penultimate stage the #75 WRX STI was 20 seconds ahead. Craig Drew commented after the event "We had just gained six seconds on the previous stage, so we figured if we did the exact same thing we would be ok". Surprisingly hard charging rival Antoine L'Estage gained back most of their advantage on the long 15 mile stage (Camp 30 - 2). After every twist, turn and icy road they had driven over the past two days it had come down to the very last stage. David Higgins and Craig Drew launched their Subaru...

David Higgins and Craig Drew are narrowly in the lead after Day 1 of the 2013 Sno*Drift Rally. SRT USA #75 had an off on Stage 6 (The Ranch) but thankfully were able to continue. Limited damage to the front of their Subaru WRX STI was handled my ace driver David Higgins between stages. Craig Drew explained "David did some DIY repairs using duct tape and my shoelace. We went all out winning the next two stages re-claiming our lead." Winning 5 of 8 stages and completing 54 competitive miles Higgins and Drew ended Day 1 on top by a mere 0.5 second!

2012 Olympus Rally - Day 2
By: Subaru - September 23, 2012
Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins and Craig Drew have piloted their white #1 Subaru STI to second place at the 2012 Olympus Rally outside of Olympia, WA. Dangerously dry conditions and still air resulted in heavy, lingering dust. During Saturday's nighttime stages, the poor visibility was compounded by driving lights such that racers couldn't see the road at all in some sections. "We had an off going literally six miles per hour," Craig Drew recalled. "I knew we were coming to junctions when I saw the marshals' vests reflecting our headlights, and then it was brake, brake, brake!," said Higgins.
2012 Olympus Rally - Day 1
By: Subaru - September 22, 2012
Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins and Craig Drew are in second place after the first four stages of the 2012 Olympus Rally. The event has paused for the day as a result of fire concerns in the area, and will resume at dusk with 26 more miles of racing over five stages.
The first few stages went relatively well for the SRT USA duo in the white #1 Subaru. The seeded draw placed Higgins and Drew fifth on the road, so dust was a significant factor. Despite slowing to a near standstill in some spots of particularly bad visibility, they put in competitive times and finished second or third on each of the first three stages.
2012 Olympus Rally - Testing
By: Subaru - September 21, 2012
Subaru Rally Team USA has landed in Olympia, Washington for the final round of the 2012 Rally America National Championship. The Olympus rally has returned to the gravel logging roads once used in the 1980's when the event hosted a round of the World Rally Championship. Extremely dry conditions and the threat of fire in the picturesque Pacific Northwest have resulted in an altered event schedule, which will keep the cars out of the forests during hot afternoon hours. Dust is likely to be a major factor for the top drivers, potentially slowing those behind the first car on the road.

Starting day two in 13th place overall, David Higgins and Craig Drew had their work cut out for them. SRT USA management gave the thumbs up to "go for it," so Higgins and Drew did just that.
2012 Susquehannock Trail Rally - Day 1
By: Subaru - June 02, 2012
The 2012 Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally is off to a tumultuous beginning for Subaru Rally Team USA as well as the rest of the field. Starting off with a stroke of bad luck, David Higgins and Craig Drew experienced a problem with their gearbox on the first stage. The duo proceeded on stages one through three at a cautious rate and preserved the car until the first service where they checked-in 3 minutes and 14 seconds down in thirteenth place. SRT USA's ace technicians were quick on the job and had WRX STI #75 back in top shape in under 30 minutes, ready to start the Subaru Super Special Stage at the Tioga County Fairgrounds.

Road conditions were significantly better and the team's 2012 Subaru WRX STI performed flawlessly as it rocketed along the scenic Oregon farmland under clear blue skies. Averaging two seconds per mile faster than their closest competition, Higgins and Drew pulled up to the podium with an astonishing lead of four minutes and twenty-six seconds.

2012 100 Acre Wood Day 2
By: Subaru - February 26, 2012
A cold calm set in as teams prepared for another day of racing near Salem, Missouri. Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins and Craig Drew were 18.6 seconds behind first place at the start of Day 2 of the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood. The plan was simple: proceed with normal effort through the first two stages; and if the gap starts closing, push for the rest of the race. With their major Rally America National Championship rivals out of the running, any finish on the podium would suffice and excessive risks would be futile.
2012 100 Acre Wood Day 1
By: Subaru - February 25, 2012
In the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood has begun in epic style. An unprecedented sixty-three teams have entered this event, the second stop of the 2012 Rally America National Championship. Fast and flowing Missouri roads characterize this race, and they've been left parched and dusty by this year's strangely dry winter. In the early stages, the top three competitors tightly traded fastest times. David and Craig won Stage 2, but lost some time in the subsequent stages and ended the day just 18 seconds behind the lead.

2012 Sno*Drift Video
By: Subaru - February 03, 2012
Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins and Craig Drew dominated at the 2012 Sno*Drift Rally in Atlanta, Michigan. Driving a 2012 Subaru WRX STI, the duo took the lead early on and never looked back winning the event by nearly two minutes. "The completely unpredictable surface conditions and our lack of experience in winter rallying made for a huge challenge," said Higgins after the race, "but I feel, after this, we've proved ourselves in the snow." This decisive win has given SRT USA the initial points lead in the 2012 Rally America National Championship.
2012 Sno*Drift Day 2
By: Subaru - January 29, 2012
Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins and Craig Drew have won Sno*Drift, the first round of the 2012 Rally America National Championship. Though their 2012 Subaru WRX STI performed flawlessly and they walked away with a massive lead of 1 minute 48 seconds, the victory was not won without a fight. Although Friday's conditions were somewhat disappointing for a winter rally, Sno*Drift earned its moniker with a substantial dumping of powder early Saturday morning. "The completely unpredictable surface conditions and our lack of experience in winter rallying made for a huge challenge," said Higgins after the race, "but I feel, after this, we've proved ourselves in the snow."
2012 Sno*Drift Day 1
By: Subaru - January 28, 2012
Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins and Craig Drew are off to a phenomenal start in their 2012 Subaru WRX STI at the Sno*Drift Rally. Unseasonably warm daytime temperatures exacerbated the difficulty imposed by the already icy roads. Sand and slush on top of ice forced teams to take a cautious approach or risk damage in the unforgiving road edges, which are lacking their usual snowy cushion. After the first leg of five stages, SRT USA #75 had an early 1 minute and 47 second lead over rivals Antoine L'Estage and Nathalie Richard.

With two days of winter testing completed, the 2012 Subaru WRX STI is ready to take on the winter roads of Michigan at the Sno*Drift Rally. This will perhaps be the most challenging event of the season, as significant rainfall in the past week has formed up to an inch of hard, clear ice on many of the stage roads.

The X Games 17 RallyCross finals concluded in a heated battle of eight cars attacking downtown LA's South Figueroa Street in a cacophony of engine noise and squealing tires. Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins and Dave Mirra cleanly negotiated the carnage at the first turn and slipped into second and third place. David Higgins suffered significant damage to SRT USA #75 when a high-speed spin late in the race resulted in a collision with the wall. Although his Subaru persevered throughout the remainder of the race, Higgins had lost too much time and finished sixth. Dave Mirra displayed excellent skill and drove a terrific race overall.

It was an extremely close race in which Higgins secured the hole-shot and Mirra followed right on his teammate's tail. The turning point of the battle was when the two drivers came into the Joker lap, Mirra trailing just behind Higgins.

2011 Susquehannock Trail Rally Day 2
By: Subaru - June 05, 2011
Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins and Craig Drew have won the 2011 Susquehannock Trail Rally after an unbelievably tense final day of racing. Higgins and Drew started the day fourteen seconds down and steadily regained lost ground, edging into the lead by five seconds at the end of Stage 7. On the following stage, disaster struck when the in-car intercom system stopped working. At the same time, a sudden rain storm turned the surface from hard gravel to a fine mud that seemed slick as ice. The team struggled to keep up speed through the stage, with Craig using hand signals to indicate crucial stage notes while David combatted limited visibility and treacherous road conditions.
2011 Susquehannock Trail Rally Day 1
By: Subaru - June 04, 2011
The 2011 Susquehannock Trail Rally began today under clear blue skies with warm summer temperatures and plenty of dust. Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins and Craig Drew were first on the road in the #75 WRX STI. Next up were Dave Mirra and Marshall Clarke in SRT USA #40.
With the cancellation of Stage 2, only twenty of the event's one-hundred twenty-five stage miles have been run. Stages 1 and 3 took place on the Waste Management course, an extremely rough and technical nine miles that has damaged rally cars in the past. This was David Higgins' first time on the stage and he chose to take a cautious approach in driving style and in the use of a hard-compound tire.
2011 Oregon Trail Rally Day 3
By: Subaru - May 16, 2011
The 2011 Oregon Trail Rally has culminated in an outstanding win for Subaru Rally Team USA. Piloting the #75 WRX STI, David Higgins and Craig Drew have scored a crushing victory and leapt to the top of the Rally America National Championship standings. After heavy rains drenched the roads to the point of stage cancellations Saturday afternoon, Sunday's schedule was up in the air. The precipitation abated just in time for the first stage, and conditions improved steadily throughout the day.
Keeping the pace set in their successful racing the previous day, David Higgins and Craig Drew won three of Sunday's stages.
2011 Oregon Trail Rally Day 2
By: Subaru - May 15, 2011
At the conclusion of Day 2 at the 2011 Oregon Trail Rally, Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins and Craig Drew have amassed a staggering three-and-a-half minute lead. Starting the day in first place, the duo were in the best spot on the road, staying ahead of the dust clouds being kicked up on the dry stage roads. That advantage was, however, diminished by a minor brake issue which left them with front brakes only for three stages. Unwilling to relinquish their lead, SRT USA #75 kept pushing and lost minimal time. The issue was quickly resolved when the car returned to service and Higgins and Drew set out again as the weather began to turn.

This weekend's rally saw a tight race between David Higgins and 2010 Rally America National Champion Antoine L'Estage. As Higgins warmed up to the event on the first day of racing, Antoine gained a 20-second lead. Higgins turned up the heat Saturday morning in an attempt to bridge the gap, but a spin cost him 30 seconds and he remained in second place despite winning four of the day's ten stages.

The Rally in the 100 Acre Wood kicked off today in Potosi, Missouri with a half-mile spectator stage before the cars dashed off to the woods to run thirty-five miles of stage road in the surrounding forests. By the second stage, Subaru Rally Team USA had secured the rankings they would maintain for the rest of the day: David Higgins and Craig Drew in the #75 Subaru WRX STI are in second place with Dave Mirra and Marshall Clarke holding third place in the #40 WRX STI. A mere twenty-two seconds separates Higgins and Drew from first place on the scoreboard and Mirra and Clarke are down a minute from their teammates. Only a third of the event's total stage mileage has been run so far, so this race is far from over.

Sno*Drift Day 1

As the temperatures lingered below freezing in Lewiston, Michigan, portly snowflakes fell lazily from the sky. Several minutes before three o'clock, rally cars began their screaming launch from the start of Stage 1. Within the first three stages, the first car on the road had overshot a turn and become entrenched in loose snow. Subaru Rally Team USA's David Higgins and Craig Drew, who were a mere 19 seconds behind in car #75, now had a two minute advantage over their closest competitor. This sizable lead grew as the racing continued into the night.

The 2011 Sno*Drift Rally marks the first event in which David Higgins and Dave Mirra will be competing together for Subaru Rally Team USA. Beautiful wintery conditions set the scene for the first race of this year's Rally America National Championship. Light snow is in the forecast and surface conditions are already very different from last year's treacherously icy roads. Speeds should be significantly higher this year as the hard-packed snow offers lots of grip, especially with gravel showing through in some spots.
