SRT USA is excited to have the Lake Superior Performance Rally (LSPR) added back to the 2013 Rally America National Championship schedule. Taking place during the fall in beautiful Northern Michigan it was always a driver and photographers favorite. The roads are fantastic and with ever changing scenery and weather LSPR provides countless challenges and never failed to provide outstanding imagery. The 2013 event is scheduled to run on October 18-19th and will as in years past be based out of Houghton, Michigan.
The LSPR Rally is commonly referred to as the oldest, toughest and meanest rally in the nation. It also has a rich rally racing history stemming back to 1949 when it was known as the Press-On-Regardless Rally - a Time-Speed-Distance event - and also as a round of the World Rally Championship in 1973 and 1974. Known as the Lake Superior Rally in 1994 when it was part of the SCCA ProRally Championship, Rally America picked up LSPR as a National Championship event in 2005 and it remained on the schedule through 2009.
