The 2011 Rally in the 100 Acre Wood concluded with a superb dual podium finish for Subaru Rally Team USA. The #75 WRX STI piloted by David Higgins and Craig Drew scored second place followed by teammates Dave Mirra and Marshall Clarke in third driving SRT USA #40.

This weekend's rally saw a tight race between David Higgins and 2010 Rally America National Champion Antoine L'Estage. As Higgins warmed up to the event on the first day of racing, Antoine gained a 20-second lead. Higgins turned up the heat Saturday morning in an attempt to bridge the gap, but a spin cost him 30 seconds and he remained in second place despite winning four of the day's ten stages. Although Higgins and Drew were unable to seize the win, they ended the day a mere eighteen seconds behind first place after hours of racing and demonstrated that they are a force to be reckoned with.

In SRT USA #40, Dave Mirra and Marshall Clarke are proving to be an excellent duo. In just their second event together, Mirra and Clarke have earned a second podium finish. The 100 Acre Wood Rally is an extremely fast race and the results of an error can be devastating; but, Mirra and Clarke ran a flawless rally and were rewarded with a valuable bounty of championship points.

This weekend's outstanding performance of David Higgins, Dave Mirra, and their respective co-drivers suggests that Subaru Rally Team USA will have a solid season ahead of them. SRT USA will head to the West Coast as the 2011 Rally America National Championship continues with the Olympus Rally in Ocean Shores, Washington starting April 30th.
