The ASPCA® reports that 5.8 million dogs and cats entered shelters and rescues in 2025, where many live day after day without the love of a family.
Subaru believes that all pets deserve loving homes. That’s why through our Subaru Loves Pets® initiative, Subaru and our retailers are committed to improving the lives of as many shelter animals as possible.
Every October, Subaru retailers provide direct funding through grants administered by the ASPCA to local animal welfare partners to help cover costs for preparing animals for adoption, veterinary expenses, and more. Many Subaru retailers also host adoption, microchipping, or other types of events in their stores to help ensure more pets can find loving homes in their communities.
Pets make the world a better place and Subaru is proud to help make the world a better place for them.
With plenty of efforts taking place year-round, contact your local Subaru retailer to learn more about how you can help a pet in need.

This year for our eighth annual National Make A Dog’s Day on October 22, we’re encouraging everyone to do something special for their dog and consider adopting, fostering, or supporting an Underdog as a life-changing way to Make A Dog’s Day.
